Lindisfarne Bay Cottages Information
We are superbly positioned to be the base for your walking holiday.
The Mill House lies extremely close to three nationally recognised walking routes (for their websites see our links page: Acitivities, walks):
The Northumberland Coastal Path (64 miles long - the Belford Circular walk is very close to us).
St Oswalds Way (97 miles long).
St Cuthberts Way (62.5 miles long).
Nearby Holy Island has superb circular walks around its varied coastline (crags and sand- dunes).
Keen walkers can walk direct from our door to the Causeway at Beal to cross over to Holy Island - please contact us first to get the correct directions (and check the tide timetables first!).
The Cheviot Hills are close by.
We are located within the National Nature Reserve of Lindisfarne in the middle of the Northumberland Coast AONB.
The National Trust owns large stretches of spectacular coastline in Northumberland.
The Northumberland National Park is close by.
We have information on walks in the cottage, but please contact us prior to your arrival if you need any help with planning your walks beforehand.
The Mill House has good storage for coats and boots in the hallway and the separate utility room has a washer, dryer and good airing space for drying.
